Core NeuroMap Layer 01 — Profiling

Build the learner profile that joins the dots.

NeuroMap Profiling connects existing assessment findings, feedback, observations and targeted additional profiling where useful to reveal the patterns shaping learning and everyday functioning.

Keep the evidence. Add the connections.

Traditional reports can contain a large amount of valuable information. NeuroMap Profiling does not erase or replace that evidence. It organises it so relationships become easier to see and educational priorities become clearer.

  • Existing findings remain visible and attributable to their source.
  • Parent, teacher and learner perspectives can be considered separately.
  • Discrepancies are explored rather than averaged away.
  • Patterns are linked to educational demands and everyday functioning.
  • Strengths and enabling conditions remain part of the map.

The profiling output

A functional map with a practical purpose.

Evidence architecture

Relevant assessment findings and observations organised without losing where they came from.

Interconnected pattern summary

A clear explanation of relationships that may shape learning, independence and everyday functioning.

Functional implications

What the pattern may mean when the learner meets real classroom, homework and organisational demands.

Priorities

A smaller number of meaningful priorities rather than an unstructured list of recommendations.

Evidence can come from elsewhere

NeuroMap does not depend on repeating assessment unnecessarily.

Existing assessment evidence can be a valuable starting point. Whether further profiling or assessment is useful depends on the questions that remain, the quality and recency of the available evidence and the learner’s current context.

This is important to the NeuroMap model: assessment is an input when needed, not the product definition.

Next layer

A profile is only useful if it changes what happens next.

Once the pattern and priorities are clear, the NeuroMap Implementation layer turns them into coordinated action and review.
