Make the recommendation specific
“Provide support” is hard to implement. “Keep multi-stage instructions visible” is observable and actionable.
Name the context
A strategy may be useful in extended writing but unnecessary in a brief oral task.
Name the owner
Clarify whether the action is for the teacher, learner, parent, tutor or another professional.
Define a review indicator
Decide what would change if the strategy is helping, such as fewer prompts or greater task completion.
